Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held separate phone conversations with two key Gulf leaders as tensions in West Asia intensified following recent military strikes involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
The PM spoke with Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman, and later with Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait. During both discussions, he expressed concern over the attacks reported in their respective countries and reviewed the rapidly evolving regional security situation.
According to News18, the Prime Minister also raised the issue of the safety and welfare of the Indian diaspora in Oman and Kuwait, underscoring that protecting Indian nationals overseas remains a top priority amid rising instability in the Gulf.
PM Modi earlier held similar conversations with leaders of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan.
