Reacting to the expulsion of his elder brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, from the party for ‘irresponsible behaviour’, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav said the party “cannot tolerate such things”.

Tej Pratap Yadav's expulsion came, after a post surfaced on the ex-RJD leader's Facebook page, where he was seen with a woman, who the caption referred to as his girlfriend. “We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years”, the Facebook post had read.

“We cannot tolerate such things, we are working and are dedicated to the people of Bihar. If it's about my big brother, political life and personal life are different. He has the right to make his personal decisions," Tejashwi Yadav told ANI.

In the post, Yadav was seen with a woman and the caption read "The one seen in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have been known to each other for the last 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years". The post had drawn flak from social media users, many of whom reminded the 37-year-old politician of his marriage that took place with much fanfare in 2018.
