Pakistani Minister denies terror camps, left speechless as anchor fact-checks claim on live TV after Operation Sindoor

Sky News anchor Yalda Hakim fact-checked Pakistan’s I\&B Minister Attaullah Tarar on live TV after he denied the presence of terror camps in Pakistan, citing past admissions by the country’s own defence minister.

Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar was left speechless during an interview with Sky News after India launched Operation Sindoor targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed in an interview that no terrorist camps exist in the country.

“Let me make it very clear, there are no terrorist camps in Pakistan. Pakistan is a victim of terrorism. We are the frontline state against terrorism. Indina on the other hand, when we had the Jafar Express hijacking, India did not even condemn it," Tarar said on the show.

Sky News anchor Yalda Hakim promptly challenged the claim, referencing a prior interview in which Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif acknowledged that the country had been involved in carrying out “dirty work” on behalf of the United States for the past thirty years.

“Post 9/11 was the frontline state in eliminating terrorism. I would like to invite you to Pakistan,” Attaullah Tarar said.

Hakim responded by pointing out that she had already visited the country and referenced the presence of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan.

“I have been to Pakistan, and we know that Osama Bin Laden was discovered in Abbottabad in Pakistan,” she said.

Tarar, while calling India the “aggressor,” claimed that Pakistan is responding to what he described as Indian “provocation.”

“We are responding. We shot down their planes. India is the provocator and aggressor,” he added.

In retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, India carried out precision strikes on nine terror sites located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir early Wednesday. The strikes were executed by the Indian armed forces without crossing the Line of Control (LoC).

According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitored the developments throughout the night.
