Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani visited Badrinath Dham in Chamoli, Uttarakhand, on Friday to offer prayers at the temple of Lord Badrinath. Speaking on the occasion, Ambani described the visit as a matter of good fortune and expressed his reverence for the sacred site.

He also expressed his concerns for the victims of the Chamoli cloudburst. Videos shared by News18 showed Ambani entering the temple premises under tight security, accompanied by a team of personnel as he moved through the crowd of devotees. In footage released by PTI, he was seen interacting with visitors, taking selfies with some, and observing temple rituals before performing his puja. Devotees greeted him, and the interaction appeared cordial and brief.

On September 24, the Ambani family had begun their Navratri celebrations with an aarti of Goddess Durga. The observances were attended by Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, their children Akash Ambani, Anant Ambani, Shloka Merchant, and Radhika Merchant, along with other family members, according to ANI. The family also participated in traditional garba performances and decorated the venue with handcrafted elements made by artisans from Gujarat.

Badrinath is one of the 108 divya desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu and forms part of the Panch Badri temples, which include Yog Dhyan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Adi Badri, and Vriddha Badri.
