A mini trade deal between India and the US is just around the corner, with contentious issues such as dairy and agriculture left for the later phases of the deal, a report by the Economic Times said on July 7, adding that the pact could be announced in the next two days.
The deal has moved towards the conclusion phase and agri-related issues will be discussed later, the paper said citing sources aware of the development. The deal, expected to be announced before the July 9 deadline, will likely cover trade in goods, ET said.
Moreover, the two countries will ink multiple agreements as soon as the issues are resolved, the report said.
