According to the Ministry, maritime operations related to Indian cargo vessels remain stable and there has been no delay in the discharge of cargo so far. Authorities also confirmed that no incidents have been reported in the last 24 hours, and all seafarers are safe.

According to ship databases, Jag Laadki was built in 2010 and is currently owned and operated by Mumbai-based Great Eastern Shipping Company.

Roughly 20 per cent of global oil and gas shipments pass through this narrow channel linking the Persian Gulf to international waters. Any disruption in the region quickly raises alarms in global energy markets.
