The Lokniti-CSDS exit poll released on Friday for the Delhi assembly election predicted a clear victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with an estimated vote share of 46% as compared to 41% for the Aam Aadmi Party.
The estimates are in line with the exit poll projections put out by Axis My India which predicted 45 to 55 seats for the BJP with a vote share of 48% while the AAP is projected to win 15-25 seats with a vote share of 42%. The majority mark in the 70-member House is 36.

The Lokniti-CSDS survey released on Friday, however, anticipates a higher impact of the Congress with a vote share of 9%. Other exit polls have projected a much lower vote share for the Congress and seats ranging from 0-3.
The sample for the CSDS survey was collected from 140 locations and based on the feedback from women (42%), Muslim (16%), Sikh (2%), Hindu (80%), SC (18%) voters.
On Thursday, Axis My India, run by psephologist Pradeep Gupta, predicted that the BJP would win between 45 to 55 seats. It predicted the BJP and its allies would secure a 48 percent vote share. The AAP was given 15-25 seats and a vote share of 42 percent. Keeping the Congress at a distant third, Axis My India predicted 0 to 1 seats for it.
Meanwhile, Today's Chanakya exit poll projected that the BJP would win 45-57 seats in the Delhi assembly elections with a vote share of 49%.
Polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly concluded on February 5 and the results are scheduled to be declared on February 8. The term of the current Assembly concludes on February 26.
