The Indian Navy, on Sunday, stated that its warships deployed in the Arabian Sea have conducted multiple anti-ship missile firings recently.
The Navy, in a statement, noted that these anti-ship missile firings were carried out to revalidate and demonstrate the readiness of platforms, systems, and crew for long-range precision offensive strike.
Taking to microblogging site X, the Indian Navy wrote, "#IndianNavy stands #CombatReady #Credible and #FutureReady in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests Anytime Anywhere Anyhow".

The test comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 civilians.
Earlier, the Indian Navy's warship, INS Surat, successfully test-fired the Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MR-SAM) air defense system in the Arabian Sea. This test occurred ahead of the Pakistan Navy's scheduled surface-to-surface missile testing in the same region. The MR-SAM is highly effective against surface-to-surface missiles and other aerial threats.
"#IndianNavy's latest indigenous guided missile destroyer, #INSSurat, successfully carried out a precision cooperative engagement of a sea-skimming target, marking another milestone in strengthening our defense capabilities," the Indian Navy posted on X.
