Indian Army conducts successful BrahMos missile combat launch, hits target with ‘pinpoint accuracy’ | Watch

The Army said the missile, equipped with advanced guidance and control systems, demonstrated high-speed stability and terminal accuracy, meeting all mission parameters.

The Indian Army on Monday carried out a successful combat launch of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a test range in the Bay of Bengal, in a mission executed jointly by a BrahMos unit of the Southern Command and elements of the Tri-Services Andaman & Nicobar Command.

In a post on X, the Southern Command said, “The Indian Army’s BrahMos roared across the Bay of Bengal in a combat launch, showcasing unmatched precision, speed and destructive prowess. The missile hit its designated target with pinpoint accuracy, reaffirming India’s ability to deliver decisive long-range precision strikes.”

The Army said the missile, equipped with advanced guidance and control systems, demonstrated high-speed stability and terminal accuracy, meeting all mission parameters. Conducted under simulated battle conditions, the test validated the force’s capability to undertake real-time long-range precision strike operations in evolving battlefield scenarios.

“This successful launch by Southern Command is a powerful testament to India’s growing Aatma Nirbharta in defence and the Army’s unflinching readiness to meet future operational challenges. A compelling demonstration of advanced technology, steadfast resolve and the unwavering spirit of a Battle Ready Bharat,” the Southern Command added.

Southern Army Commander Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, lauded the launch, describing it as an important milestone in bolstering the Army’s long-range precision strike capabilities and enhancing India’s deterrence posture.

The latest test reaffirmed the reliability of India’s indigenous missile technology and marked another step forward in the country’s strategic and technological advancement, reinforcing its commitment to self-reliance under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
