The sister of a terrorist, who was allegedly involved in Pahalgam attack and whose house in Tral was demolished, said, "...My one brother is in jail, the other brother is a 'Mujahideen', and I also have two sisters. Yesterday, when I came here from my in-laws' place, I did not find my parents and siblings at their home. Police had taken them all away. While I was here, the Security Forces came and asked me to move to a neighbour's house. I saw a man wearing a camouflage uniform placing an object like a bomb on top of the house. After that, the house was demolished...We are innocent. They have destroyed our house."

Bazar Matia Mahal Traders Association held a protest against Pahalgam terror attack on the stairs of Jama Masjid after offering the Juma Namaz.

After the Indian government ordered the closure of the Attari border in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, many Pakistani nationals were seen leaving India and returning to their country.

They were given 48 hours to leave, and several shared their frustration, saying that innocent people should not suffer for the actions of a few.

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Friday suggested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi hold a special session of Parliament and pass a resolution unanimously to express the nation's sentiments to the world following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

"I have a few suggestions for the Prime Minister. A special session of the Parliament must be held to discuss and get suggestions from everyone. The nation is standing with him... A terrorist is a terrorist; he has no religion. A resolution must be passed unanimously to express the sentiment of the nation in front of the world," Sibal said, addressing a press conference in the national capital.

During a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce dismissed a Pakistani journalist's question regarding the India–Pakistan border tensions.

When asked by a Pakistani journalist for a statement, she responded, “I am not going to be remarking on it. I appreciate this, and perhaps, we will come back to you with another subject. I will say nothing more on that situation. The President and the Secretary have said things, as have the deputy secretary; they have made their positions clear. Top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Altaf Lalli was killed in an encounter with security forces in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir, according to media reports. The operation comes as part of ongoing efforts to track down LeT terrorists believed to be involved in the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people dead.

Upon reaching Srinagar, Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi was briefed by the 15 Corps Commander on the security situation and actions being taken by the formations against terrorists inside own territory and Pakistan Army's attempts to violate the ceasefire along the LoC, Army officials told ANI.

Expressing grief over the terror attack, NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan took to X to announce aide for the victims' families and said, "We are deeply saddened by the tragic terrorist attack in Kashmir on April 22,2025 where 26 people lost their lives. In a humble gesture of support, NSE pledges Rs 1 crore to the next of kin of the victims, standing in solidarity with their families during this difficult time."

Addressing an event, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said, "The fight that is going on right now is not between sects and religions. Its basis is sect and religion, but this fight is between 'Dharma' and 'Adharma'. Our soldiers or our people have never killed anyone by asking about their religion. The fanatics who killed people by asking about their religion, Hindus would never do this. That is why the country should be strong. Everyone is sad, there is anger in our hearts as it should be, because to destroy the demons, immense power is necessary. But some people are not ready to understand this, and there cannot be any kind of change in them now. Ravana was a devotee of Lord Shiva, knew the Vedas, had everything that was needed to be a good person, but the mind and intellect he had adopted were not ready to change. Even as Pakistan condemned the recent attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam and denied claims of harbouring terror outfits, its Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday hailed the perpetrators as "freedom fighters".

On the Pahalgam terror attack, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar says, "At the beginning of the event, we paid tribute to all those, including six people from Maharashtra, who tragically lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack two days ago. Revenge must be taken to ensure that those who are responsible for this attack are shown their place. The Prime Minister has already made significant decisions. Such incidents must never be repeated in the future, and I am confident that our Indian Army will decisively eliminate those behind this heinous act."

The house of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Adil Thokar, also known as Adil Guree, has also been demolished. He is believed to have been involved in the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists.

Adil had legally traveled to Pakistan in 2018, where he reportedly received terror training before returning to Jammu and Kashmir last year.

On the arrest of AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam for his remarks on the terror attack in Pahalgam, AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal says, "I have received the news that Haji Aminul Islam has been arrested for commenting on the Pahalgam incident. I heard the comment. What Haji Aminul has said is very unfortunate. At this time, we have to stand together with the Indian government. A terrorist is just a terrorist; he has no caste or religion. It is very important to condemn those people who are working on terrorism, defaming Islam and Muslims. The comment made by Haji Aminul is his own, it is not our party's comment."

High Commission of India in London, UK, organised a solemn tribute at India House to honour and remember the victims of the horrific Pahalgam terrorist attack.

High Commissioner of India, Vikram Doraiswami, said, "This is the largest killing of civilians since the Mumbai terror attacks... People were pulled out, identified and based on their religious identity, they were shot dead... The purpose was to create terror and to undermine the ongoing normalisation in Jammu & Kashmir... Markets in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, will remain shut as traders have called for a one-day 'Bandh' on Friday to protest against the Pahalgam terror attack which took place on April 22.

A gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Kulnar Bazipora area of Bandipora district following information about the presence of the ultras in the area.

Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi will leave for Srinagar and Udhampur shortly. He is scheduled to meet senior Army commanders deployed in the Kashmir valley along with officials of other security agencies. He will be reviewing the ongoing security situation in the valley and attempts by the Pakistan Army to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control there, according to Defence officials. (ANI)

French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and spoke about the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday, which claimed 26 lives and injured several others. Macron expressed France's support for India and its people in this hour of grief.

He said France and its allies will continue the fight against terrorism wherever necessary.

In a post on X, Macron stated, "I have just spoken to my counterpart @narendramodi about the cowardly terrorist attack on Tuesday, which resulted in the tragic death of dozens of innocent civilians. France stands firmly with India and its people in this hour of grief. France, together with its allies, will continue the fight against terrorism wherever necessary."

The US has called for the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam to be brought to justice, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said.

Bruce said that US President Donald Trump and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio have made clear that the US stands with India and strongly condemns all forms of terrorism.
