Lauding India’s progress in the recent years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said people from all over the world aspire to visit the country and experience its rich culture.
“Today, India stands as a country that consistently generates positive news. Here, there is no need to 'manufacture' news. Every day, new records are being created,” the Prime Minister said citing the example of the recently concluded Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj.
He was addressing the NXT Conclave at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
“On February 26, Maha Kumbh of Unity concluded in Prayagraj. The world is amazed about how it's possible that crores of people came to a temporary city on the bank of a river to take a holy dip. The world is witnessing the organising and innovating skills of India,” PM Modi said.
From semiconductors to aircraft carriers, India is producing everything domestically, capturing global interest, the Prime Minister highlighted, adding, “the world wants to know this India in detail”.
According to the Prime Minister, India is actively leading multiple global initiatives. He cited the recently concluded AI Action Summit in Paris, which India co-chaired with France, to support his statement.
The summit featured discussions on critical themes -- including greater access to artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure to ensure inclusion, the responsible use of AI, AI for public interest, making AI more diverse and sustainable, and ensuring safe and trusted governance of AI.
“Recently, I got the opportunity to attend the AI Action Summit in France. India was the co-host of the AI Summit, that will take the world forward. Now, it's India's turn to host the Summit. India had successfully hosted the G20 Summit. During this Summit, India gave the world a new economic route - the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor,” PM Modi said.
“We also gave a voice to the Global South by inducting the African Union as a member of the G20. For us, the Island nations are our priorities,” he stated.
