Amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the government has once again debunked false claims made by Pakistan. During a press briefing, the DG ISPR of Pakistan used a small part of a full video clip by an Indian News channel to claim that the Indian airfield has been destroyed.

However, the Press Information Bureau’s (PIB) fact-check unit on X posted the full video clip used by the Indian channel and said that Pakistan used a small part of the footage and distorted it. In-fact, the actual footage is of the destruction of a Pakistani airfield during an Indian military operation.

"This is an attempt by Pakistan to mislead its own people by producing doctored footage as evidence," the PIB said on X.  "The actual story in the full video shows the news channel was talking about the destruction of a Pakistani airfield by Indian forces."

Recently, the Indian government issued a warning regarding fake X (formerly Twitter) accounts impersonating two distinguished military officers—Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofia Qureshi. These fraudulent accounts have gained traction amid heightened public interest following India's launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7.
