External affairs minister S Jaishankar on July 1 met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington and discussed the bilateral partnership between the two countries, including on trade, security and critical technologies.
India's foreign minister is on a visit to the US at the invitation of Rubio from June 30 to July 2. He also attended the Quad foreign minister's meeting in Washington.
"A pleasure meeting US @SecRubio this afternoon, on the sidelines of Quad Foreign Ministers’ meeting," Jaishankar said on X.
The two leaders discussed India-US bilateral partnership including trade, security, critical technologies, connectivity, energy and mobility, and "shared perspectives on regional and global developments", EAM said.

Jaishankar also met with US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth during which they discussed advancing the defence partnership between the two countries.
