Dwarka, established following the 2008 delimitation, is one of the 70 assembly constituencies in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The constituency primarily covers areas such as Dwarka, Nasirpur Village, Dashrath Puri, Dabri Village, Dabri, and parts of Sagarpur in Delhi. It is a general category seat.
The demographics of Dwarka
As per the voter list of 2020 by the Election Commission of India, there are 220001 electorates and 191 polling stations in this constituency. Voter turnout was 59.87% in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, whereas it was 62.21% in 2020 assembly election. The AAP, the BJP and the INC got 52.08%, 41.53% and 4.96% votes, respectively, in 2020 assembly election, while The AAP, the BJP and the INC got 16.61%, 58.73% and 22.69% in 2019 parliamentary election, respectively.
Dwarka Constituency 2015 and 2020 Winners
In the 2020 Assembly Elections, AAP’s Vinay Mishra secured the seat with an impressive margin of 14,387 votes. Mishra garnered 71,003 votes with a vote share of 52.08 per cent and defeated BJP’s Pradyumn Rajput who obtained 56,616 votes (41.53 per cent). Congress' Adarsh Shastri stood in third position with 6,757 votes (4.96 per cent)
In the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Adarsh Shastri from the AAP won with 79,729 votes. Pradyumna Rajput from the BJP received 40,363 votes, and Mahabal Mishra from the Congress garnered 12,532 votes.

The Aam Aadmi Party has shown its confidence once again in Vinay Mishra, while the BJP has given its ticket to Pardyumn Singh Rajput. The Congress on the other hand has fielded Adarsh Shastri as its candidate in the Dwarka Assembly constituency.

The Dwarka constituency in Delhi voted on February 5. The results will be declared on February 8, along with the other 69 constituencies in Delhi.
