In line with most exit poll predictions released on Wednesday, two more agencies on Thursday predicted a strong comeback for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi, marking an end of its power drought of 26 years in the capital.
Axis My India and Today’s Chanakya, two agencies with a better track record in terms of its estimates among others, have both predicted a BJP win against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly elections.
Axis My India Exit Poll prediction
As per the Axis My India exit poll, the BJP is expected to storm to power with 45-55 seats in the with a vote share of 48 percent. The AAP, on the other hand, is seen trailing with 15-25 seats and a vote share of 42 percent. The Congress, meanwhile, is predicted to end up with 0-1 seats with a vote share of 7 percent.

A caste-wise breakup of the data shows Brahmins (66%), Rajputs (61%), Jats (63%) and OBCs (58%) overwhelmingly supporting the BJP while the AAP garnered a staggering 74 pecent of Muslim votes and a majority of the Balmiki (53%), Jatav (60%), SC (51%) and Sikh (69%) votes
Significantly, women who formed a decisive factor in AAP’s victories in 2015 and 2020, appear to have backed the BJP in larger numbers this time. As per the exit poll data, BJP has bagged 46 percent female votes as compared to 44 percent for AAP. In terms of male voters, the BJP bagged 50 percent votes while AAP bagged 40 percent of those votes. The Congress, on the other hand, has managed to garner only 7 percent of the male and women votes.
Today’s Chanakya Exit Poll prediction
According to Today’s Chanakya exit poll for the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP is expected to win as many as 51 seats with a margin of error of six seats. The AAP is projected to win 19 seats while Others have been placed at 3 seats.

In terms of the vote share, the BJP is expected to garner a vote share of 49 percent against 41 percent for the Aam Aadmi Party while others could bag 10 percent of the votes. The margin of error is 3 percent.
Delhi Election Results 2025
The exit polls have predicted a trend favouring the BJP in the capital. However, the real numbers will only be known once the Election Commission of India declares the results on February 8.
Counting of votes will begin Saturday at 8 AM and a clear picture is likely to emerge as counting progresses. The term of the current Assembly ends on February 26.
