The Delhi BJP has published advertisements across the various newspapers inviting people to the ‘Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony’ at Ramlila Maidan, where Chief Minister-elect Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet members will take oath.
In a post on X, the Delhi BJP said, “A new chapter of Delhi’s progress is about to begin. With the ‘Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony’, we all will move towards new heights of development in Delhi. Come to Ramlila Maidan and witness this historic moment!”

The ad mentions that the ceremony will take place on February 20 at 11 am.
Following its promise of putting Delhi back on track with development, the BJP named the oath-taking ceremony “Viksit Delhi Pledge Ceremony”. During the poll campaign, The BJP blamed the previous AAP government for failing to perform its duties. Ahead of the polls, in its manifesto titled “Viksit Delhi Sankalp” , the BJP had promised that when it forms the government, it would “give Delhi a new direction”.

The BJP on Wednesday evening announced that Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta will be the new chief minister of Delhi following a legislative party meeting.
The BJP won 48 of the 70 seats in the Assembly elections, defeating the AAP, which secured 22 seats. The Congress failed to secure even a single seat for the third consecutive time.
Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Gupta said, “It is a miracle, it is a new motivation and a new chapter. If I can be the CM, this means ways are open for all the women... Anyone who has been corrupt will have to give an account of each and every rupee…"
She had secured victory in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly Constituency, defeating AAP's Bandana Kumari by a margin of 29,595 votes in the 2025 Delhi Assembly Election.
The oath ceremony will be attended by Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of 20 states, BJP leaders and workers from other states who campaigned in the Delhi elections.
