Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, is currently on a 180-km padayatra from Jamnagar to the Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka. Walking around 20 kilometres a day and spending six to seven hours on foot daily, he is expected to reach the temple on April 8, a day before his 30th birthday.
This padayatra, undertaken as a personal act of faith, reflects his deep religious beliefs. Despite facing serious health challenges—including Cushing’s Syndrome, morbid obesity, asthma, and severe lung disease—Anant is walking the distance as part of a spiritual commitment.

Along the way, he has received support from local communities, with some people joining parts of the walk, offering prayers, or greeting him. Spiritual leaders such as Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham and Rasraj Maharaj, a Vaishnavacharya associated with the Pushtimarg tradition, also visited him during the journey.

Anant has been engaged in religious chants and scriptures throughout the padayatra, including the Hanuman Chalisa, the Sundarkand, and Devi stotras. Known for his strong spiritual inclination, he has previously contributed to the upkeep of several temples such as Kalighat in Kolkata, Shrinathji in Nathdwara, and Kamakhya in Assam. He is also a trustee of the Badrinath and Kedarnath dhams and has supported Akharas during the recent Mahakumbh.
Accompanied by a few aides and spiritual guides, Anant’s walk to Dwarka is a personal pilgrimage undertaken in silence and reflection.
