As the exit polls predicted a comeback to the national capital for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after nearly 25 years of drought, the saffron camp rejoiced while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said, "AAP is always given less number of seats in exit polls, but it gets a greater number of seats in reality".
Reacting to the exit poll predictions, Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva said, "Was always confident of the BJP's performance in the assembly elections," adding that "Delhiites want a corruption-free government".

“I want to congratulate the people of Delhi for giving us so much love and blessings. 'Aapda' is leaving Delhi and the BJP is coming. If somebody does fake voting, they will be caught. People of Delhi want a corruption-free govt and they want development,” he told ANI.
"This is yet another state where BJP is winning without a face. Odisha, MP, Haryana and now Delhi," he added.
On the other hand, AAP leader Reena Gupta rejected predictions by exit poll agencies and said, "You look at any exit poll historically, AAP is always given a smaller number of seats, whether its 2013, 2015 or 2020. But whatever is shown, AAP gets a lot a greater number of seats in reality. AAP will register a historic victory, and Arvind Kejriwal will become CM for the fourth time."
Most of the exit poll predictions show that the three time ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be ousted from the national capital this time around and the BJP is poised for a strong comeback. Meanwhile, as per the exit polls, Congress is expected to make just a minor showing in Delhi.
'This is Modi wave'
BJP candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat, who took on Arvind Kejriwal, Parvesh Verma said," It is certain that lotus will bloom on February 8. We will give good governance, clean Yamuna and employment in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal is confident that he is losing."
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said, " The exit polls I saw right now, I feel like our exact polls (results) are going to be better than exit polls...the reaction we saw among people, BJP is coming to power (in Delhi)...it is BJP's homecoming...I thank people of Delhi..."
Haryana BJP State President Mohan Lal Badoli said, "Very surprising results will come of the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. This will be a historic poll...Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the Haryana people and government are mixing poison in the Yamuna Water...He has hurt the sentiments of the people by saying so...people will remove him from power...We will win by a majority and for a government..."
BJP candidate from Kalkaji Vidhan Sabha, Ramesh Bidhuri said, "This is Modi wave. The people of Delhi want development just like there has been development in the rest of the country under PM Narendra Modi. The hard work put in by our party workers and the guidance and strategy of our leaders have reaped fruit. I don't believe in these exit polls, the number of our seats will rise further. BJP will cross the 50-seat mark..."
BJP-led NDA ally, JD(U) also reacted to the exit poll predictions. Its leader Neeraj Kumar told ANI, "They (AAP) created an uproar through liquor scam, Yamuna has been polluted so much...it is difficult to say anything about Congress. When Lok Sabha LoP visits Bihar, he forgets the name of the freedom fighters and fails to visit their family members..."
AAP rejects exit poll predictions
Over exit polls predicting loss for AAP in Delhi Assembly elections, AAP leader Sushil Gupta said," This is our fourth election, and every time exit polls did not show AAP making the govt in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has worked for the people of Delhi. We will see the results in favour of Aam Aadmi Party and we will form the government..."
AAP candidate from Greater Kailash seat, Saurabh Bharadwaj said, " We have fought 3 elections of Delhi and this is the 4th Assembly election we are fighting...2013, 2015 exit polls had shown that we would be defeated and in 2020, in exit polls, it was shown that we would be getting fewer numbers. Same way, in 2025 also, it is being shown that we will be getting fewer seats. I feel that exit polls have always shown that AAP would be getting fewer votes. BJP always silence common people's voices so they don't speak out of fear...AAP's vote share always comes more than what is shown in the exit polls...
AAP leader Anurag Dhanda also remained hopeful and said, "I don't think all the surveys are against us. If you look at it historically, AAP doesn't come to power in surveys, but forms government eventually... We are encouraged with the voting percentage, which is close to 67% of 2015."
AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar said, "Exit polls have always proven to be wrong for the AAP. We have always formed the government with a clear majority and this time will be no different... There are some exit polls which show us winning but I would like to tell everyone to wait for 8 February, Arvind Kejriwal will be forming the government with a huge majority..."
Congress hopeful
Even as most of the pollsters predicted zero seats for Congress, MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla remained hopeful and said, "Those who said Congress does not exist on the ground, will see Congress win a good number of seats... AAP will not come back. No party will get a clear majority. All three parties will get equal number of seats."
Congress candidate from the New Delhi constituency and Sheila Dikshit's son, Sandeep Dikshit, said, "...Let's wait for the 8th of February... We fought well..."
Congress candidate from Kasturba Nagar seat, Abhishek Dutt said, "I have seen a huge change in my constituency. AAP vote share has fallen in Delhi and Congress is retaining ground... In Haryana's exit polls, Congress was winning. Security drills had begun at Bhupendra Singh Hooda's residence... Cases of fake voting came to light. Money was being distributed openly..."
