Average prices jumped to Rs 35.6 per kilogram from Rs 27.5 per kg in the same quarter last year. This helped in posting a strong performance, said Dhampur Sugar's MD Gaural Goel in an interview to CNBC-TV18.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Gaurav Goel, managing director, Dhampur Sugars, said that the average price for the sugar segment in this quarter is about Rs 29 per kilogram and world market prices will not have too much of an impact on the company profit in the coming two quarters.
Gaurav Goel, Managing Director of Dhampur Sugars, in an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18, says that he expects to manufacture 35 lakh tonne sugar for full year. He sees the sugar prices to be stable and to cost around Rs 25.4 per kg. Goel also expects the coming quarter to be positive.
