Indonesian confectionery maker to set up a plant in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Jan 11 (PTI) The Gujarat Government's industry facilitation arm iNDEXT-b today inked an MoU with Indonesia-based confectionery maker INBISCO to set up a green field facility in Sanand near here at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. The MoU was signed by INBISCO President Andre Sukendra Atmadani and iNDEXT-b Managing Director Mukesh Kumar in the presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi here, an official said. "The food product manufacturing plant is expected to commence production over the next 14-15 months," he said. INBISCO is a famous manufacturer of confectionery products like cookies and chocolates. The company will set up the plant in 85,000 square meter area at the Sanand GIDC estate. siNDEXT-b (industrial extension bureau) is the investment promotion agency of Gujarat Government. It provides a single point of contact for all investment-related activities in Gujarat.
