Patna, Apr 4 (PTI) Former MLA Saryu Prasad Singh died at his residence in Gariha village in Bihar's Aurangabad district, his family sources said today. He was 87. Singh who died last night is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter. He was cremated today. A veteran socialist leader, Singh served as the Praja Socialist Party (PSP) MLA from 1967 to 1969 from Aurangabad assembly seat. He had taken part in the freedom movement and was the president of the freedom fighters federation. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had expressed profound grief at Singh's death and recalled his contribution to the socialist movement and freedom struggle.
