Once operational, the 100MW solar power project is expected to offset approximately 130,000 metric tonne of CO₂ emissions per year

Waaree Renewable Technologies on Monday said it has inked an initial pact with Viet Khanh Joint Stock Company to execute turnkey EPC works of a 100MW photovoltaic solar power project in Vietnam.

This alliance marks a major milestone in cross-border clean energy collaboration between India and Vietnam and the second such tie-up between Waaree Group and Viet Khanh after successful completion of a 49.5 MW project in Cam Ranh province in 2019, a statement said.

The MoU seeks to reaffirm the strong business relationship and commitment between Waaree and the project owner, with a full scope of design, engineering construction, testing and connecting the solar power plant to the national power grid, it stated.

“This collaboration reflects Waaree Group’s strong reputation in delivering high-performance, bankable solar infrastructure globally,” said Viren Doshi, Executive Director, Waaree Renewable Technologies.

Once operational, the 100MW solar power project is expected to offset approximately 130,000 metric tonne of CO₂ emissions per year — equivalent to planting over 2 million trees annually.
