Gaurang Shah of Geojit Financial Services told CNBC-TV18, "We would prefer midcap cement ideas in the cement sector, would be The Ramco Cements and JK Lakshmi Cement. We believe that the consumption of cement is going through tremendous amount of uptick."
The Ramco Cements ended at Rs 700, up Rs 7.15, or 1.03 percent on the BSE.
The share touched its 52-week high Rs 750 and 52-week low Rs 577 on 31 May, 2017 and 15 November, 2016, respectively.
