Bhart Hexacom, Go Digital General to join FTSE in latest rejig

Pfizer Ltd, Torrent Power, Shriram Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Adani Green Energy will see a decrease in weight

Stocks including General Insurance Corporation of India, Prestige Estates, Nexus Select, Thermax Ltd, Network 18 Media, Techno Electric, Sansera Engineering, Metro Brands and PTC Industries will see an increase in weight on the index.

In its latest FTSE readjustment to take effect from December 23, Bharti Hexacom and Go Digital General will be the latest additions to the index. The adjustment date will be today, December 20.

According to Nuvama, the addition of Bharti Hexacom is expected to bring in flows of $36 million ( 5 million shares) . Similarly, the inclusion of Go Digit General will bring in flows of around $19 million ( 2 million shares).

The stock for Bharti Hexacom has gained around 84 percent in the last one year and was trading at Rs 1,500 as of 1:15 pm on December 19. Go Digit General's stock has gained around 8 percent over the last one year and was trading at Rs 333.40.

Stocks including General Insurance Corporation of India, Prestige Estates, Nexus Select, Thermax Ltd, Network 18 Media, Techno Electric, Sansera Engineering, Metro Brands and PTC Industries will see an increase in weight on the index. ICICI Bank ($310 million), Kotak Mahindra Bank ($118 million) and Bajaj Finance ($66 million) are expected to see higher inflows.

On the other hand, Pfizer Ltd, Torrent Power, Shriram Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Adani Green Energy will see a decrease in weight. The largest outflows will be seen from Adani Green ($48 million), Mahindra and Mahindra ($38 million).
