Madras Cements' 13.7 lakh shrs change hands via block deals

Madras Cements gained 0.5 percent to Rs 241.20 on Tuesday when the two block deals worth Rs 33 crore executed on both exchanges in afternoon trade.

Madras Cements gained 0.5 percent to Rs 241.20 on Tuesday when the two block deals worth Rs 33 crore executed on both exchanges in afternoon trade.

More than 10 lakh equity shares have changed hands at Rs 240 a share on National Stock Exchange while 3.68 lakh shares on Bombay Stock Exchange at same price.

At 14:33 hours IST, the stock rose 0.19 percent to Rs 240.55 after hitting an intraday high of Rs 241.90 and low of Rs 238.30.
 
Trading volumes increased to 3,73,372 shares, up 125.29 percent compared to its five day average of 1,65,727 shares. Market capitalisation of the company currently stands at Rs 5,724.35 crore.
