According to a report by Sharekhan, the Indian indices may open on a flat to negative note led by mixed global cues. SGX Nifty is also trading 3.50 points lower.

On Friday (February 08, 2013), the Sensex closed at 19484, down by 95 points and the Nifty fell 35 points to settle at 5903.

Asian markets are closed today (February 11, 2013), on account of Lunar New Year festival.

European stock markets closed higher on Friday (February 08, 2013) as investors took heart from upbeat Chinese and US economic data, and EU leaders adopted a seven-year budget for the 27-member union.

US Stock market posted gains on Friday, following the advances in the European peers.
