Nifty 5400 Put adds 12.1 lakh shares in Open Interest

Nifty 5700 Call added 15.5 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 5400 Put added 12.1 lakh shares in Open Interest and Nifty 5500 Put added 10.2 lakh shares in Open Interest.

FIIs were net buyers of Rs 606 crore in Index Futures; which open interest (OI) was up by 19333 contracts. They were net buyers of Rs 340 crore in Stock Futures; which OI up 4652 contracts. FIIs were net sellers of Rs 443 crore in Index Options; which OI was up by 31445 contracts.

Nifty 5700 Call added 15.5 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 5400 Put added 12.1 lakh shares in Open Interest and Nifty 5500 Put added 10.2 lakh shares in Open Interest.

Delivery based selling was seen in Reliance Infrastructure. The stock was down 7.5%; its OI was up by 1% and delivery volume jumped at 9 lakh shares as against 1.4 lakh shares.

Delivery based selling and fresh shorts were seen in HCC and Indiabulls Real Estate (IBREL). HCC fell 5.6%; its OI was up by 1% and delivery volume increased at 19 lakh shares versus 6.6 lakh.

IBREL lost 5.2%; its OI was up 9% and delivery volume went up at 11.7 lakh shares versus 7.1 lakh.

Delivery based selling and unwinding were seen in Jaiprakash Associates. The stock was down 5.6%; its OI was down 1% and delivery volume declined at 60 lakh shares versus 79 lakh.

Fresh shorts were seen in Sterlite Industries. The stock slipped 4.3% and its OI was up by 6%.
