The government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has registered more than 7000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) on the e-commerce platform, the Economic Survey 2025 tabled on January 31 has said.
"ONDC recorded more than 14 million transactions in the month of November 2024 across 1100+ cities. 7 lakh+ sellers and service providers are active on the ONDC network spread across 600+ cities and towns across India," it said.
ONDC, which aims to foster inclusivity and equity, has enabled seamless transactions between buyers and sellers across different platforms. The network has been instrumental in reducing customer acquisition costs, enhancing business efficiencies, and offering expanded choices for merchants and consumers alike, the survey, which comes a day ahead of the Budget, said.

In November 2024, ONDC recorded more than 14 million transactions across over 1,100 cities, showcasing the growing adoption of the platform.
The network now hosts more than 7 lakh sellers and service providers in more than 600 cities and towns in India, with 190+ network participants actively contributing to its success.
ONDC has also brought around 400 self-help groups (SHGs), micro-entrepreneurs, and social sector enterprises into its fold, further strengthening its commitment to empowering local businesses. The network has also made strides in mobility, with services now live in over 15 cities and 5.45 lakh taxi and auto drivers onboarded.
