As 2025 winds down, Bihar government has released the holiday list for the year 2026. The holidays--including general and restricted will be applicable to all offices under the state government. In addition to the general holidays listed by the Bihar government, state government employees can avail themselves of up to three optional or restricted holidays in 2026.
It is to be noted that the dates of Muslim festivals are subject to change based on the sighting of the moon.
Bihar general holidays 2026As per the circular, all offices under the State Government, along with revenue courts and subordinate courts, will remain closed on general holidays.
