Thanks to technology, the frantic rush for a CA to file the tax return is over for many of us, especially the salaried lot. Last year 9 million taxpayers used the internet and filed their return online. This year this figure is expected to be at least double if not more.

Besides the government website www.incometaxindia.gov.in, there are now many private players in this space such as taxsum.com, myitreturn.com, taxsmile.com, investmentyogi.com to name a few.
