Chinese smartphone brand OPPO has unveiled the Find N5 foldable smartphone, which has

flagship-grade hardware and a thin and light design. According to OPPO, it features the

largest inner screen among book-style foldable smartphones. Despite its slim profile, the

device houses a 5,600mAh battery and offers 36% more rigidity than its predecessor, due to

the company adopting Grade 5 titanium alloy for the wing plate’s build.

Oppo Find N5: Price, availibilty

In China, the Oppo Find N5 comes in Dusk Purple colour with a leather back priced at 8,999

yuan (around Rs 1,07,045) for the base 12GB+256GB model. On the other hand, the

16GB+512GB version costs 9,999 yuan (around Rs 1,18,935) and the top-end 16GB+1TB

version with satellite communication support costs 10,999 yuan (around Rs 1,30,830).

Globally, the Find N5’s price is set at SGD 2,499 (around Rs 1,62,000) for the sole 16GB +

512GB variant. The handset is offered in Misty White and Cosmic Black colourways, and it is

available for purchase in Singapore starting February 28.

Oppo Find N5: Specifications, features

The Oppo Find N5 features a 6.62-inch Full HD+ external screen and an 8.12-inch 2K internal

display. Both the internal and external displays are AMOLED with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate,

and a 2160Hz PWM dimming. The inner screen has a touch response rate of up to 240Hz

and supports up to 2,100 nits of peak brightness. The display also has Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG)

protection.

Further, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with

up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage. OPPO claims the Find

N5 is the thinnest book-style foldable smartphone when closed, measuring 8.93mm in

thickness. For durability, it features the company's Armour Shield architecture with an

aluminium alloy frame. It is also the first foldable smartphone to receive an IPX9 rating for

water resistance.

The Find N5 is equipped with a 5,600mAh dual-cell battery with support for 80W

SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging. As for the cameras, OPPO

Find N5 comes equipped with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto, and an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera. All three cameras get optical image stabilization (OIS) support. The

device also houses 8MP front-facing cameras on both the cover and inner screens.
