Investment under PLI likely to boost employment generation by 40%, says Minister Piyush Goyal

Investment under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme is expected to provide a significant 40 percent increase in employment generation to 1.2 million, from 0.85 million jobs created at present, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said at an interaction with CEOs of PLI schemes on September 29. The minister noted that production is also likely to cross Rs 11 lakh crore compared with Rs 9 lakh crore already achieved. Read more here.

Manufacturing & Services PMI, auto sales, Powell speech, US jobs data among 10 key things to watch

3 IPOs to open for subscription with 12 listings lined up

The primary market will see mixed action in the coming week starting from September 30 as there will be no new IPO launch in the mainboard segment but the activity remains strong in the SME section. On the listing front, non-banking finance company Manba Finance will debut on the BSE and NSE on September 30, while the trading in heat exchangers manufacturer KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration, and Diffusion Engineers will commence on the bourses, effective October 3, and October 4, respectively.
