Market good to go long; like two-wheeler space: Pros

Dr Lal Path Labs has had a stellar performance post its initial public offering (IPO), but the valuation is now looking stretched, says Sudip Bandyopadhyay, MD & CEO at Destimoney Securities adding that he doesn’t recommend getting into the stock currently. Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com says one should go long in the current market. In the private banks space, stocks have regained 7-8 percent. Bandyopadhyay, however, is still cautious on stocks. While ICICI Bank still has asset-related issues, stellar performer IndusInd Bank is valued very high, he says. Bandyopadhyay is bullish on names like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank and City Union. In the two-wheeler space, he expects rural demand to pick-up in coming months, which will benefit Hero MotoCorp. His other pick in the segment is Bajaj Auto. He also recommends PI Industries, which will see further upside in future. In the infrastructure space, Prakash Diwan of prakashdiwan.in expects benefit to come to small and midcap companies first than large names like L&T. He is bullish on MBL Infra. Diwan does not have a buy call on Zee and Tree House. The companies, on Wednesday, released swap ratio for their merger. Reliance Communications, Diwan says, is worth looking at. However, he is cautious on Bharti Airtel and Idea due to impending Reliance Joi’s entry. SP Tulsian of sptulsian.com says that telecom bounce back is a minor one and the segment will take time to stable out. While Tulsian is waiting for Idea to see further correction, he says that Bharti Airtel is not a reliable stock currently. Sukhani is bullish on Hindalco, JSW Steel and Tata Steel in the metal space. His other picks are Rel Infra, Lupin and Sun in pharmaceutical. However, he is bearish on Jet Airways and says one should start booking profits in the stock. Watch videos for more.
