John Cockerill India Limited has been awarded a contract worth approximately ₹80 crore from Tata Steel Limited. The order encompasses the engineering, design, manufacture, and supply of Pickling and Acid Regeneration Plants (ARP). These plants are designated for installation at Tata Steel's Jamshedpur (Tinplate Division) facility in Jharkhand. The contract also includes oversight of the erection and commissioning processes.
The disclosure aligns with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
As per the contract terms, John Cockerill India will supply all essential components for the push-pull pickling line and acid regeneration plants. The company will also supervise the erection and commissioning of the plants to ensure adherence to contractual performance standards. The project is slated for completion by mid-2027.
The company has clarified that neither the promoter nor any promoter group companies hold any stake in Tata Steel Limited. Furthermore, the order does not qualify as a related party transaction and is being executed on an arm's length basis.
