NSE Adds 4 Stocks in F&O

Four new stocks - Swiggy, Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, Bajaj Holdings and Investment - will be available for trading in the Futures and Options segment with effect from January series starting soon.

The National Stock Exchange of India informed members on December 18 that based on the stock selection criteria as per SEBI norms, the futures and options contracts would be available on four securities.

The participants can start trading in F&O contracts of Swiggy, Waaree Energies, Premier Energies, Bajaj Holdings and Investment effective December 31, 2025.

The exchange in its circular note said the market lot and scheme of strikes of these four securities will be informed to members on December 30 through a separate circular.

The details of applicable quantity freeze will also be available in the contract file which shall be applicable for trading on December 31, it added.

New stocks being introduced in the F&O segment are based on the eligibility criteria approved by the SEBI, which involves average daily market capitalisation, average daily traded value, market wide position limit in the security (which shall not be less than Rs 1,500 crore on a rolling basis), quarter sigma values (median quarter-sigma order size over the last six months shall be not less than Rs 75 lakh), and average daily deliverable value (in cash market shall not be less than Rs 35 crore in the previous six months on a rolling basis).

The stock is chosen from amongst the top 500 stocks in terms of average daily market capitalisation and average daily traded value in the previous six months on a rolling basis.

Currently, total 208 stocks are available for trading in the NSE F&O segment. Apart from which, five indices - Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Midcap Select, Nifty Next 50 - are also traded in the segment.

In October, the NSE decided to remove four securities - Cyient, HFCL, NCC, and Titagarh Rail Systems - from the F&O segment. Accordingly, no contracts will be available for trading in these securities effective December 31.
