Bajaj Steel Industries share price hit a fresh 52-week high in September 30 trade as the board of the company is likely to meet this week to consider bonus issue to the shareholders. The stock opened with a gain of 11.02 percent in Monday's trading session and touched a fresh peak of Rs 2,978 on the BSE, zooming 18.08 percent.
The stock has been gaining for the last two days and has risen 11.94 percent in the period. The company has a market cap of Rs 1,472.12 crore, as per BSE website.
The company, in an exchange filing, said, "it is being informed that the meeting of Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 03, 2024, to inter-alia consider the proposal for issuance of Bonus Shares to the shareholders of the Company."
Bajaj Steel shares have delivered 147.47 percent returns in the last 180 days, as per BSE data. The stock moved higher by 206 percent in the last three years.
