Consumer products and lighting solutions player Bajaj Electricals has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with SEAK, a Slovak company engaged in manufacturing and distributing lighting control electronics and software, sending the shares of the company sharply higher by over 7 percent on April 16.

The statement by Bajaj Electricals said the company will use SEAK's products for resale as well as deploy its tunnel lighting projects in India as well as other countries.

The exclusive collaboration between Bajaj Electricals and SEAK will see the Slovak company make and supply lighting control products, which will be used by the company for resale, as well as for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of tunnel lighting projects in India, the statement said.

"...the Parties may also engage with each other for the supply of products/services in other countries on a project-by-project basis, on such terms and conditions as mutually agreed between the Parties," the statement added. Bajaj Electricals has a strong export reach, with its products going out to over 40 countries, and contributed 1.54% to its FY24 revenue.

Bajaj Electricals is looking to leverage SEAK’s technological prowess with its own industry expertise for India's infrastructure projects. "...the Company aims to deliver intelligent and energy-efficient lighting solutions for tunnel projects, addressing the evolving needs of India’s and the region’s growing infrastructure," Bajaj Electricals said.

Lighting solutions makes up 20 percent of Bajaj Electricals' Q3FY25 revenue, and some of the recent projects where the company was involved were the street lighting during the Maha Kumbh 2025 and Wankhede Stadium's lighting.
