RBI may signal a pause in rate hike on Oct 25: RBS

Here are expert equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Parul Saini, RBS: We think that RBI could raise policy rates by 25 basis points at its mid quarter policy review today and may signal a pause in the monetary policy stance in its review on October 25. We see absolute and relative value and feel macro concerns are now well priced in.

Chris Wood, CLSA: World financial markets remain crash prone. The issue remains simple, that is how long it will take Europe's leadership to move to full-scale fiscal union. With the noise level rising and a concerned America starting to agitate from the sidelines, our instincts are that action is coming sooner rather than later.
