Sensex erases over 300 pts from day's high post budget

The benchmark Sensex shed more than 300 points from day's high though it showed stellar performance today by gaining nearly 500 points after the Union Budget 2011-12 speech delivered by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

The benchmark Sensex shed more than 300 points from day's high due to profit booking, though it showed stellar performance by gaining over 500 points after the Union Budget 2011-12 speech delivered by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

FM has announced various measures to boost infrastructure in the country and lowered the fiscal deficit target to 4.6% for FY12.

Vallabh Bhanshali, Chairman, ENAM Securities Pvt Ltd said that the FM has done a great justice to his image as a pragmatic person.
