The Indian rupee opened at 45.10 per dollar versus 44.98 on Friday.

Subramaniam Sharma, Greenbak Forex Services said that, "The rupee may be weak as result of the political stand-off between Congress and DMK over seat sharing in Tamil Nadu. The surge in crude will also add to the weakness. The range for the day is seen between 44.95-45.25/$."
