Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav begins UK, Germany tour to woo investors

CM Mohan Yadav received a warm welcome from Indian diaspora in London

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav embarked on a six-day visit to the United Kingdom and Germany with the goal of establishing Madhya Pradesh as a key player in the global investment arena.

Upon arriving in London, the CM received a warm welcome from Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami and members of the Indian diaspora.

“I'm deeply grateful for the warm welcome I received. The insightful one-on-one meetings and meaningful discussions about investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh have been truly inspiring and informative. I'm eager to contribute to transforming MP into a thriving industrial hub and a beacon of economic growth, fostering prosperity and innovation in the region,” the CM posted on X.

Yadav will visit the British Parliament on Monday where he will be welcomed by British MP Baroness Sandip K Verma. Yadav will then accompany Verma to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi's statue at Parliament Square. Yadav will host a lunch at the Taj Hotel, St James' Court, in honour of British MPs, according to Times of India.

Yadav will also meet the High Commissioner and industry representatives over breakfast on November 26, followed by a session on investment prospects with over 120 participants. The CM has sought the High Commission's support for the Global Investors Summit, scheduled in Bhopal in February 2025, requesting them to "help us establish Madhya Pradesh as a preferred destination for British investors."

Following three days in the UK, CM Yadav will travel to Germany on November 27. In Munich and Stuttgart, he will engage with Bavarian state government leaders, industry representatives, and Indian consular officials.

The highlights include a visit to SFC Energy and an interactive session involving 80 participants to discuss investment opportunities.

This foreign tour follows a series of successful investment promotion events across India, showcasing Madhya Pradesh as a hub for industrial growth and innovation. By engaging international stakeholders, the state government aims to attract substantial foreign investments and strengthen Madhya Pradesh's position as an emerging global destination for business.
