JSW Energy share price is trading flat in the opening trade on July 2 following the company signed the battery energy storage purchase agreements with RVUNL.
At 09:23am, JSW Energy was quoting at Rs 527.45, up Rs 0.35, or 0.07 percent, on the BSE.
JSW Renew Energy Thirty Seven, a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy has signed battery energy storage purchase agreements (BESPA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) for 250 MW / 500 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project will be developed on a build, own and operate model in the state of Rajasthan.
The agreement signed for a duration of 12 years, with a tariff of Rs 2,24,000 per MW per month, and supported by viability gap funding, company said.
The company's total locked-in energy storage capacity stands at 29.3 GWh, including 2.9 GWh of BESS and 26.4 GWh of pumped hydro storage, it added.
With this, the company is well-positioned to achieve its target of 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030.

In the month of June, the company through its stepdown subsidiary Energizent Power, signed power purchase agreement with NHPC for ISTS-connected 300 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid Capacity.
The share price plunged nearly 30 percent in the last one-year.
The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 804.95 and a 52-week low of Rs 419.10 on 24 September, 2024 and 17 February, 2025, respectively.
Currently, the stock is trading 34.47 percent below its 52-week high and 25.85 percent above its 52-week low.
Market capitalisation stands at Rs 92,186.05 crore.
