IT services major Tech Mahindra on May 13 announced several leadership changes to drive strategic growth in critical markets.

Manish Mangal was appointed as the head – Americas Communications Business, and Sahil Dhawan was elevated to head – India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) Business, in yet another leadership overhaul under new management led by CEO Mohit Joshi.

Ram Ramachandran, Senior Vice President - India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) business will be moving into a new role as Head of Specialist Sales, while Abid Mirza will be moving into a new sales role in IMEA region. Consequently, both the executives will cease to be designated as Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of the company, according to Tech Mahindra’s BSE filing.

Mangal, in his expanded role, will lead Tech Mahindra's Communications business across the Americas, the company’s largest market. With over 27 years of global experience in the telecom industry, Mangal had played a pivotal role in advancing 5G, AI, and cloud-native network technologies. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer – Telecom Business & Global Business Head – Network Services for Tech Mahindra.

Sahil Dhawan will responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy and customer engagement across the IMEA region, a market of strategic importance to the company's long-term vision. Previously, he had served as Senior Vice President & Global Head - Enterprise Applications. He led the global P&L across sales, delivery, solutions, and alliances for Tech Mahindra's expansive Enterprise Applications portfolio.

Commenting on the changes, Mohit Joshi, CEO and Managing Director, Tech Mahindra, said, “Manish and Sahil have been integral to our growth journey, consistently delivering impact through leadership and innovation. After Joshi took over the top role in December 2024, he had started restructuring the management teams across business units. In the first phase of the reshuffle, former chief human resource officer (CHRO) and head of marketing Harshvendra Soin had shifted his base to Australia to lead the consolidated Asia Pacific and Japan business.

Tech Mahindra had also made new leadership hires. Apart from onboarding Atul Soneja as the new COO, the company hired Peeyush Dubey as the chief marketing officer, Richard Lobo as the chief people officer and Rajashree R as its chief growth officer for America strategic verticals.
