Honor 500 series is expected to launch by the end of this year, as the successor to the existing Honor 400 series model. The upcoming smartphone lineup will likely include the Honor 500 and a Honor 500 Pro, and will likely follow the launch of the company’s Magic 8 lineup, which is tipped to launch in October 2025. A new leak has also revealed some of the key specifications of the Honor 400 series.
Honor 500 series: Expected launch timeline, specifications
In a recent post on Weibo, Chinese tipster Digital Station has claimed that Honor will launch the Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro by the end of the year. These handsets will succeed the Honor 400 series and will likely come with a 200MP rear camera. Further, these models are said to carry forward the design approach of their predecessors with an iPhone-inspired appearance and a slim profile.
The tipster adds that both these phones will sport a 6.5-inch display. Apart from these, the company could also unveil the Honor GT 2 series soon, with a 6.83-inch screen, upgraded performance, and a big battery pack. Previous leaks have claimed that the GT 2 could be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, while the GT 2 Pro may be backed by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
In the comments section of the Weibo post, the tipster adds that Honor Power 2 is tentatively scheduled to launch in Q1 2026, which is likely to come with a humongous 10,000 mAh battery. Moreover, the Chinese tech brand is also reportedly working on introducing compact tablets.
