GreenLine Mobility Solutions will supply liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks to battery manufacturer Exide Industries to help reduce vehicular emission.
The partnership will reduce Exide’s logistics-related emissions and align its supply chain with sustainability goals.
With clients across various sectors, GreenLine currently has a fleet of over 500 LNG trucks and plans to add an additional 1,000 trucks by March 2025.
"By adopting GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet, Exide takes a bold step in reducing its environmental footprint while ensuring efficiency and reliability in its long-haul transportation," the statement said.
GreenLine Mobility, which is a part of Essar's Green Mobility initiative, will provide Exide with LNG-trucks equipped with advanced technology, real-time vehicle monitoring, predictive analytics and enhanced safety features.
The company said its trucks offer a cost-effective, reliable, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional diesel-powered vehicles, with a range of up to 1,200 km.
"This collaboration highlights how cutting-edge logistics solutions can align with the unique demands of the battery industry while driving measurable environmental impact," GreenLine Mobility Solutions CEO Anand Mimani said.
Exide Industries MD & CEO Avik Roy said by adding more LNG trucks, the company is looking to meet the rising demand for green logistics with reliable, efficient and environmentally friendly solutions.
