Decision on 18% GST for transactions under Rs 2,000 delayed, referred to fitment committee

Uttarakhand Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal has announced that no decision has been made regarding the proposed 18% GST on income from transactions under Rs 2,000 for payment aggregators. He said that the matter would be referred to the fitment committee for further review and deliberation.

Aggarwal, however, shared that helicopter services for pilgrims and tourists will be subject to a 5% GST, while chartered helicopter services will incur an 18% GST. The decision aims to differentiate between the types of services offered and align tax rates accordingly.
