Sheela Foam Ltd, which runs several brands including Sleepwell and Furlenco, reported a 52.4 percent decline in net profit at Rs 18.3 crore in the quarter ended December 31 of the current financial year, compared to Rs 38.46 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 9.23 crore in the September quarter.
The firm’s revenue from operations jumped 10 percent to Rs 967.11 crore in the reported quarter over Rs 878.89 crore in the year-ago period, the filing showed. It stood at Rs 812.72 crore in the September quarter.
The firm’s share price closed 1.21 percent higher at Rs 917.45 on NSE
