    Persistent Systems Ltd reported a robust set of numbers for the second quarter of FY26, comfortably surpassing Street estimates with double-digit growth in revenue and profit. The IT services company’s performance was driven by strong order wins, improving operating efficiency, and continued momentum across key verticals.

    Earnings beat across metrics


    Persistent Systems' consolidated net profit rose 45.1 percent year-on-year to Rs 471.4 crore, above CNBC-TV18’s poll estimate of Rs 436 crore. Revenue from operations increased 23.6 percent YoY to Rs 3,580.7 crore, also beating expectations of Rs 3,521 crore.

    Operating profit (EBIT) rose 43.7 percent to Rs 583.7 crore, translating into a margin of 16.3 percent, compared with the estimated 15.7 percent. In dollar terms, revenue stood at $406.2 million, up 4.2 percent sequentially and 17.6 percent year-on-year.

    CEO outlook: 22nd straight quarter of growth


    Sandeep Kalra, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, said this marked Persistent’s 22nd consecutive quarter of revenue growth. “Driven by the continued trust of our clients, this performance reflects our commitment to impactful transformation and execution excellence,” Kalra said.

    Kalra said the company’s AI strategy rests on a platform-led model strengthened by domain expertise, proprietary tools, and strategic partnerships. This is aimed at helping enterprises modernise operations, boost productivity, and accelerate measurable outcomes.

    Persistent reported Total Contract Value (TCV) of $609.2 million and Annual Contract Value (ACV) of $447.9 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. During the quarter, Jaideep Dhok was elevated as Chief Operating Officer -- Technology.

    Stock performance


    Shares of Persistent Systems closed 0.56 percent lower at Rs 5,299.80 on the NSE on Tuesday, ahead of the results announcement.
