Axis Securities has come out with its first quarter (April-June) earnings estimates for the India Consumer sector. The brokerage house expects Godrej Consumer to report a growth of 17.1 percent year-on-year in net profit at Rs 247 crore.
Net Sales are expected to up 7.4 percent Y-o-Y to Rs 2250 crore, according to Axis Securities.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) are likely to up 15.2 percent Y-o-Y to Rs 364.8 crore.Domestic business to remain under pressure, with increased pressure on rural side. Soap business to remain under stress. In a seasonally healthy quarter, household insecticides to post a muted show. Gross margin to remain flat Y-o-Y at 43.7 percent.
