    Adani Power Ltd on January 29 reported a 7.4 percent jump in net profit at Rs 2,940.07 crore in the quarter ended December 31 of FY25, compared to Rs 2,737.96 crore in the same period of the previous financial year, the company said in an exchange filing.

    The company had reported a net profit of Rs 3,297.52 crore in the September quarter, the stock filing showed.

    Soon after the earnings announcement, the stock of the Adani group firm rose 4.78 percent to Rs 520.95 at 15:12 pm on NSE.

    The firm reported a revenue of Rs 13,671.18 crore in the reported quarter over Rs 12,991.44 crore in the year-ago period, the stock filing showed. In the September quarter, the company had posted a revenue of Rs 13,338.88 crore.

    Meanwhile, the company's board of directors approved raising of funds of up to Rs 5,000 crore via qualified institutions placement (QIP).

    Additionally, the board also approved the enhancement of its previously-approved fundraising plan from Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 11,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs).
